6 Downs View is our family home! While we live and work up country, we are delighted to be able to share it with family and friends at a very discounted rate for holidays (compared to commercial holiday let rates in the area).
The house sits close to both the town centre and the fabulous beaches. It overlooks the rolling greens of the Bude Links Golf Course and is in a quiet, and yet convenient part of this beautiful Cornish town.
Downs View is a special place for us - a beautiful home that we love and greatly enjoy spending time in. We're sure you will be really comfortable there and find it a great place to holiday.

The House
6 Downs View is an end terrace 3 storey Edwardian house - originally a large B&B for those retreating to enjoy the beautiful north Cornwall coast.
Inside you will find:
- large and wonderfully sociable kitchen
- cosy snug (at the back of the kitchen)
- comfortable living room overlooking the golf course
- 2 smart TVs
- lockable garage for bike/board storage
- beach shower/bathroom
- family bathroom
- downstairs WC
- washing machine & second fridge freezer in the garage
- 6 bedrooms (including primary suite with bathroom and walk in wardrobe/ dressing room)
At the rear of the house is a decked area and parking for two cars.

Downs View is within easy walking distance to 3 beaches, the sea pool, castle, canal walk, shops, café’s, inland cycle path & pubs.
Great for all year-round family fun: surfing, walking, swimming, golfing, running, cycling, beach fun and more.
A fantastic base from which to explore the beauty of north Devon & Cornwall.
What’s Included?
We provide duvets and pillows for up to 12 guests. You will need to bring your own bed linen, towels, tea towels, beach towels and bathmats. We have Wi‑Fi and 2 smart TV's to access your own streaming services, a washing machine in the garage along with a second fridge freezer should you need it. Heating and hot water are also included.
We provide a store cupboard with some basic provisions to get you started, and to help make your stay more convenient. We do ask that guests replace whatever they use from the cupboard, so that our next guests can also find what they need when they arrive.
We have a local cleaner who will prepare the house with a thorough clean before you arrive. We ask that you leave the house in a good, clean and tidy order - treating it as if it were your own. We ask you to cover the cost of the cleaner for your stay - this is usually £180 (6 hours @£30/hour) when you have used the whole house, or £130 if you ask just to use the lower part of the house when booking.
One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please keep them off furniture, out of the bedrooms, and clean up after them in the decking and drive area.
Booking & Cost
Prices vary by season from £750 to £2,500 per full week,
with options for weekday and weekend stays.
- For all full house stays there is an additional cleaning charge of £180
- For all half house stays* there is an additional cleaning charge of £130
- Half house rental is available with a 25% discount during dates marked * (half house = two superking bedrooms and a bunk bedroom).
- We ask for a 25% deposit to reserve the dates, with the balance (including cleaning) due at least 3 weeks before your holiday.
- We can often be flexible with dates and changeovers, so please ask if your preferred dates don’t fit these periods.
